kAIboard supports 13 languages with full keyboard, autocorrect, and prediction: Italian, German, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, and Georgian. Each language has its own optimized keyboard layout and Hunspell autocorrect dictionary (built into the app). For next-word prediction, download the KenLM model for each language from the Offline Models screen. You can set or change a contact's language manually from the Contact Management screen in the app, or by long-pressing the spacebar while in a chat. The entire app interface — including settings, menus, and all on-screen text — is fully translated in 14 languages (the 13 above plus Simplified Chinese). Chinese keyboard with Pinyin input is coming soon.

When you open a chat, kAIboard detects the contact name, looks up their phone number, and reads the international prefix (+39 = Italian, +49 = German, +33 = French, etc.). The layout switches in about 65 milliseconds. The system uses a multi-level priority chain: first a manual per-app language override, then a global manual override for that contact, then automatic prefix detection, and finally the device system language as fallback. Works with 120+ messaging apps including WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and Messenger.

kAIboard offers two translation modes. AI Cloud Translation (subscription required): enable the master translation toggle in Settings, then long-press Enter in any chat to activate translation for that conversation. The icon changes from ↩ to ⇄. Type your message, press Enter to translate, then tap the app's send button. Only outgoing text is translated — kAIboard never reads incoming messages. On-device translation (free, no Internet): download language packs (~30 MB each) from the Translation Packs screen, then long-press a suggestion in the prediction bar to instantly translate on your device. No subscription, no connection, no data sent anywhere.

Yes. kAIboard follows a local-first approach: contact detection, autocorrect, predictions, language preferences, and on-device translation all run on your device. The only data sent externally is the text you choose to translate via cloud AI, transmitted via encrypted HTTPS through a Cloudflare relay — it is never stored. On-device translation never sends any data to third parties. In Settings → Privacy you have four options: Export your data as JSON, Delete learning data only, Delete all local data, or Delete all cloud data. Crash reports are fully optional and never contain typed text or contact names. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising IDs.

kAIboard is a one-time purchase of €2.39 (tax included) with all core features: automatic language switching, smart autocorrect, word prediction, free on-device translation (ML Kit), keyboard shortcuts, customisable haptic feedback, emoji picker, contact language management, and local backup. An optional monthly subscription unlocks AI Cloud Translation (powered by OpenAI) and Google Drive backup. Three plans are available: Plus (€3.49/mo, ~2,130 translations), Pro (€5.99/mo, ~4,200 translations), and Max (€9.49/mo, ~8,530 translations). They differ only in the number of monthly translations. On-device translation remains free for all users.

Yes. The keyboard, autocorrect, and predictive text all work fully offline. Autocorrect dictionaries for all 13 languages are already built into the app — no download needed. For next-word prediction, download the language models from the Offline Models screen (one-time download per language). You can also translate offline for free: download language packs from the Translation Packs screen and use on-device translation without any Internet connection. Only two features require an Internet connection: AI Cloud Translation and Google Drive backup.

Yes. Double-tap the space bar for ". " (period + space + auto-capitalisation) to quickly end a sentence and start a new one. The shortcut triggers only with two quick taps within 300ms and does not interfere with normal typing. The comma key is located to the left of the space bar for quick access. Hold down the comma key to open the emoji picker.

Yes. kAIboard provides three levels of haptic feedback: light for letters, medium for the space bar and punctuation, and firm for Enter and delete. You can adjust vibration intensity with a slider from 0% to 100% in Settings, or disable it entirely. For sound, choose between Android system sounds or kAIboard's alternative sound theme, each with a dedicated volume slider.

Over 120 apps, including WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Facebook Messenger, Viber, WeChat, Discord, Slack, and many more — including dating apps, ride-hailing, food delivery, and marketplace apps. It also works with quick replies from notifications. Note: Telegram handles contact names differently from other apps. You may occasionally see a brief language flash when entering a chat where the language is auto-detected from the phone prefix. This resolves instantly. Contacts with a manually assigned language (via Contact Management or long-press spacebar) are not affected.
